NOVEMBER 15, 2015* (For mental health professionals; open to the public), 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. San Rafael, California, Community Institute for Psychotherapy : What Control-Mastery Theory Teaches Us About Working with AdolescentsIn this program, Michael will provide an overview of Control-Mastery theory and therapy, and specifically describe the processes by which adolescents make elegant use of the presence of the therapist to gain the skills, information and support they need to navigate their paths into emergent adulthood. This workshop will allow for time to apply the theory to your individual cases and come away with immediate, useful ways of conceptualizing how to conduct psychotherapy with adolescents from a Control-Mastery perspective.
