At Practical Help for Parents, we love it when you write in to tell us what’s been difficult, helpful, gratifying or frustrating in parenting and working with the teens and pre-teens in your life. And so do other parents and professionals! So many times, just reading about another parent or teacher expressing your own challenges or joys makes the hardest and most important job of parenting much easier. Write to Practical Help for Parents and tell us about how you dealt with a divorce or separation and the issue of your teen leaving books at one home or the other; let others know how you feel about co-ed overnights and your middle-schooler; tell us what’s frustrating about helping your teens become responsible when they want more freedom; share your stories as faculty members or clinicians and help parents understand they’re not alone Getting practical help means hearing about the real lives of others!
